Echo Vascular Technologist
The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides high-quality ultrasound and cardiovascular imaging services to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The Echo Vascular Tech works collaboratively with radiologists, cardiologists, and clinical teams to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging services while maintaining regulatory compliance and imaging excellence.
The Echo Vascular Tech provides diagnostic imaging services by applying sonic energy to assist in the evaluation of cardiac and vascular conditions. This role performs sonography procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist, Cardiologist, or licensed independent practitioner.
Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams per departmental protocols
Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
Verify patient identity, orders, and clinical history prior to exams
Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort
Assist physicians during exams and invasive procedures as needed
Document exams and patient care activities in the electronic health record
Ensure proper image archiving and participate in quality assurance activities
Maintain equipment, supplies, and a safe work environment
Technical Diploma from an accredited Sonography education program or equivalent required
Eligibility for professional registration required
Must obtain Echo Tech registration within one (1) year through ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) accepted
Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire if not current
Less than one (1) year of experience required
1 years of special imaging or ultrasound experience preferred
Must complete Aegis Training as required
