USD HourlyReporting to the Production Supervisor, the Electron Beam Weld (EBW) Machine Operator is key in assisting with meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The EBW Machine Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width if the material with measuring devices.

  • This position sets up the designated EBW machine including interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication.

  • Responsible for operating the machine while adhering to quality parameters and in-process checks

  • Monitors machine cycles and mill operation to detect jamming and to ensure that products conform to specifications.

  • Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Read EBW orders, blueprints, and annealing schedule to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.

  • Manipulate controls and observe dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms.

  • Thread or feed material through EBW machine or start and control mechanisms that automatically feeds metal into the machine.

  • Performs data entry into the SAP software system

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • At least 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience required

  • Experience in a metals industry preferred

  • Experience in use of micrometers and other precision measurement tools

  • Previous EB Weld machine operation preferred

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, manuals, technical procedures

$24.20 - $34.80 USD Hourly
