Description of Duties and Tasks
Greeting guests, taking accurate food & beverage orders, and seating guests
Presenting menus to guests and informing them of specials
Listening attentively to guests to ensure accurate orders/modifications for food and beverage requests
Managing reservations and wait list
Rotating dining room seating so that servers are sat in cycles from section to section
Ascertaining guests' dining needs
Responding to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
Performing opening and closing duties, as needed
Handling phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu
Assisting various restaurant staff when necessary
Taking call-in/to go orders in an efficient and accurate manner
Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately
Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Qualifications
Potential candidates must maintain a positive, energetic & alert demeanor and show a sense of urgency in all hospitality/customer service
Professional communication skills between the applicant, guests, and co-workers a must
Must project a well-groomed and professional appearance that is in accordance with ACC Culinary department standards
Minimum of 1 year prior culinary/hospitality experience in restaurants or lodging FOH capacity
Must be able to provide references from past employers and agree to an ACC background check
Prior experience with TOAST POS systems a plus
Safety
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
