What you will be doing:

Leads functional teams and works directly with and supports
Officers and Directors, up to and including Senior Vice President level, in executing effective Regional strategies, plans and controls. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a high-performing, global team of IT professionals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of logistics, a passion for technology, and a proven ability to lead and collaborate across a complex, international organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for the entire shipping portfolio, including the online MAGIC platform, offline systems such as CAFE and FXRS, and the next-generation POLARIS platform.
  • Global Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a geographically dispersed team of IT professionals located in the US, Europe, and India, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and other leaders across the globe to ensure seamless alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Platform Modernization: Drive the architectural vision and roadmap for the modernization and integration of our core shipping platforms, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day IT operations of the shipping portfolio, ensuring the highest levels of performance, availability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Innovation and Growth: Champion the adoption of emerging technologies and agile methodologies to accelerate delivery, enhance capabilities, and unlock new business value.


What do you bring with you:

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in the shipping, transportation, or logistics industry is highly desirable.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of legacy and modern technology platforms. A strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, cloud-native principles, and large-scale system integration is essential.
  • Global Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and managing large, multicultural, and geographically distributed teams.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
