Description:
- Primarily responsible for insuring proper packaging of product into proper shippers and/or film and clearing equipment jams.
- Responsible for properly loading cartons on the line, insuring proper side seaming operation, checking quality of dates, labels, and packaging, and taking weights.
- Maintains vital adjustments of processing/packaging equipment.
- Required to maintain processing/packaging equipment by utilizing system
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up weight control on computer and enter weights/attributes. Adjust and control weights as necessary.
- Understands weight control philosophy and drives to optimize weight control opportunities.
- Maintains Kraft Heinz quality standards by using QCMS guidelines to check quality of seals, code dates, labels, packaging of product, weights, odor, color of product, temperature of product, etc.
- Relieves other personnel as needed (Line Operator and Case Packer Operator).
- Replaces production supplies when inventory has been depleted.
- Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area.
- Reports and/or corrects unsafe acts or conditions.
- Performs variety of maintenance-type functions such as change-overs, set-ups, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
- Provides break relief for various jobs in the department.
- Dismantles, cleans and reassembles assigned equipment according to Kraft Heinz Standards and supervisor’s directions.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications. Must have a working knowledge of Quality Suite weight control and OEE.
- Will be required to be involved in improvement opportunities and be an active member of the line and department teams.
- Utilize and update Oscar boards as needed.
- Will be required to learn/operate/maintain all carton area positions/case packers within Dinners department.
- Performs other duties as directed by Line Leader.
- Must maintain processing/packing equipment by utilizing the systems and settings.
- May include sanitation duties.
- Operate material handling equipment in safe and efficient manner.
- Record keeping as required on manual, computer and other systems. Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QCMS guidelines.
- Performs variety of maintenance type tasks such as change overs set-ups, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
- Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
- Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the Springfield QRMP accountability document.
- Understand and accountable for the KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, involvement in process improvements, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
·Knowledge: Basic math, reading and communication.
·Working Environment: Primarily indoors, hot and humid, subject to dusty conditions; temperature can vary up to 100 degrees during warm weather months. During Sanitation can be exposed to wet conditions.
·Will be required to work from vertilifts, ladders and platforming.
Qualifications:
- Able to acquire Fork Truck, walkie/rider pallet truck operator and vertilift/aerial lift license.
Physical Requirements:
·Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment; and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
·Must be able to stand while inserting components.
·Must be able to do sustained activity jobs.
