Description:
·Primarily responsible for the receiving and transferring of various Pasta products to the designated filling line, and regrinding products for use with pasta making.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recordkeeping and documentation as required on manual, computer, and other systems. Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QCMS guidelines.
- Maintains Kraft Quality Standards by checking the quality of pasta in bins and at the final dryer.
- Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Will be required to communicate and work with packaging coordinator and line operators.
- Transports semi-finished product to appropriate place.
- Will be required to inventory and report accurate inventories/yield studies.
- Ensures that cleaning procedures, housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area.
- Must learn all processing jobs to assist in startup, production, and shutdown.
- Must be able to work as a team.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications.
- Dismantles, cleans and reassembles assigned equipment according to Kraft Standards and Line Leader’s directions.
- Must be a team player and demonstrate initiative with department improvements including scrap elimination, efficiency and projects goals.
- Coordinates with processing sanitation group crew(s).
- Performs metal detector and magnet checks.
- Performs other duties as directed by Line Leader.
- Must maintain processing equipment by utilizing the Playbook and Oscar Board system and settings.
- Understand and accountable for the KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, involvement in process improvements, etc.
- May be required to attend DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
- Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, Clean/Inspect/Lube activities, minor maintenance and adjustments, etc.
·Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the Springfield QRMP accountability document.
- Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
Minimum Requirements:
·Knowledge: Basic math, reading, communication, and basic computer.
- Working Environment: Primarily indoors; hot and humid, subject to dusty conditions; temperature can vary to 110 degrees or above during warm weather months. During Sanitation can be exposed to wet conditions.
- Will be required to work from vertilifts, ladders and platforming.
Qualifications:
- Able to acquire Fork Truck, walkie/rider pallet truck operator and vertilift license.
Physical Requirements:
·Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 100 pounds; holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
·Must be able to do sustained activity jobs.
