Team / division overview

The DWS Alternatives business is a diversified set of business activities with approximately EUR 150bn in assets under management in strategies including Private Real Estate, Private Infrastructure, Alternative Credit, Liquid Real Assets (Real Estate/Infrastructure and Commodity Securities) and Sustainable Investments.  The global team invests on behalf of a global client base that includes governments, corporations, institutional investors, as well as a growing UNHW investor group.

Alternatives Coverage is part of the DWS Client Coverage Division and are the Alternatives Specialists responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of client relationships on behalf of the Alternatives platform and will work closely with the Investment teams, Product Division and broader Global Client Coverage Division. 

Role Details

As a Senior Coverage Specialist (m/f/d) within Alternatives Coverage you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the fundraise efforts across Germany for our Alternative Credit Europe Strategies

  • Leading the development of fund marketing plans for Private Credit with a focus on Germany incl. market demand assessment activities, working closely with colleagues across Coverage, Investments and Product divisions

  • Leading the execution of the sales strategy and capital raising across Private Credit strategies, taking the lead in identified markets (both with respect to fund marketing, but also SMAs and co-investment syndication)

  • Developing strong productive relationships with internal distribution partners

  • Working closely with teams such as Product Specialists, Research and Investment Managers to convert sales opportunities into capital flows

  • Support Investor Relations activities, including LP Advisory Committee meetings and LP engagement, including Fund AGMs and annual Investor Conferences

We are looking for 

  • Proven track record of sales/fund raising, with solid experience of covering institutional clients in either buy or sell-side environments

  • Extensive experience across Private Credit covering strategies such as Leveraged Loans, Direct Lending, CLOs and Asset Based Finance strategies

  • Strong networking skills and proactive approach to work with colleagues across the business, but equally adept at working autonomously

  • Highly structured approach with project management skills

  • Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, highly developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Highest ethical standards, integrity and discipline

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

  • Verantwortung für den Vertrieb unserer Private Credit Strategie in Deutschland

Wir suchen 

  • Nachweisbarer Erfolg in der Vermarktung von Finanzprodukten und der Einwerbung von Kapital für Investmentprodukte

  • Ein hohes Maß an Erfahrung in der Betreuung und Akquisition von professionellen Kunden

  • Umfangreiche Erfahrung und eine tiefe Wissensbasis im Bereich Private Credit, z.B. Syndizierte Kredite, Direct Lending, CLOs und Asset Based Finance Strategien

  • Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten in der Entwicklung von Netzwerken, Proaktivität, konstruktives Zusammenarbeiten mit Kollegen im gesamten Unternehmen sowie ein ausgeprägtes Maß an autonomen Arbeiten

  • Eine sehr strukturierte Arbeitsweise mit sehr guten Projektmanagementfähigkeiten

  • Sehr gute verbale und schriftliche Kommunikations- und Präsentationsfähigkeiten

  • Höchste ethische Standards, Integrität und Disziplin

  • Deutsch- und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich in Wort und Schrift
