Dunnage Associate (Evenings)

About This Role:

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Dunnage Associate for our brand-new, fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer paid material handling equipment training, full medical/dental benefits, a store discount and 24/7 onsite gym access.

• Starting wage of $19.95/hour
• Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am
• Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that

Highlights

• Unload and sort all store returns from returning trailers, delivering sorted goods to the appropriate dept
• Load cardboard and plastic bales, as per the set configuration, in the appropriate recycling trailer
• Clean and bale any loose cardboard or plastic
• Clean, log, and pile on junk pallets all store reclamations in the reclamations room
• Travel the warehouse aisle by aisle removing all damaged cases from the active locations
• Consolidate same SKU’s in order to create full cases and return to the active location
• Verify SKU numbers, using the AS400, to see if they are part of the reclamations program
• Ensure that all boxes handled are on solid (unbroken) pallets, within the confines of the pallet, secured and stable, and wrapped with tape or shrink wrap
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Perform related work as required by Supervisor

Requirements

• Must be able to drive a counter balance forklift and low lift equipment
• Completion of High School
• Class G2 or higher driver’s license
• Basic PC skills and math skills
• Must be capable of sitting for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail

Dunnage Associate Schedule

Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm
