PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Dunkin’ Operating Services Intern will gain hands-on experience in supporting restaurant operations and driving process improvements through POS and drive-thru technology innovations. This role is key to enhancing operational efficiency, improving order accuracy, and elevating the overall customer experience.
The focus will be supporting integration of two brands currently operating separate POS systems into a single, unified platform to support the rollout of future combination restaurant concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and enhance POS operational processes to boost efficiency, ensure order accuracy, and elevate average check
Collaborate with the Restaurant Technology team to prioritize operational enhancements based on restaurant feedback
Support in-restaurant field testing of POS and peripheral system initiatives, documenting operational procedures for effective communication to restaurant teams
Engage with franchisees and their teams during testing phases, gathering feedback, and addressing ongoing needs for operational enhancements
Foster innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams, shared services, and vendors to implement and optimize POS peripheral systems such as drive-thru timers and headsets
Act as a subject matter expert, conducting thorough testing and providing support post- deployment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Minimum: Pursuing a 4-year degree
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to collaborate in solving problems
Well-organized with high attention to detail
Ability to work closely with team members to solve problems, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Strong computer skills (ability to quickly learn new software and tools)
Proficiency using MS 365 suite, including SharePoint
