About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Driver/Trades Assistant with a minimum HC licence to join our Equipment Division at Perth Airport. This role involves supporting the workshop team with mechanical tasks, assisting tradespeople on the floor, and carrying out any excess equipment movements that the current driver cannot handle. Occasional B Double driving may be required.
What We Offer:
Full-time permanent role with consistent hours
Monday – Friday, 12hrs/day, 6:00am – 6:00pm
$40.39/hour plus 15% superannuation
Opportunity to work with a dynamic team across multiple sites
Exposure to a variety of vehicles, equipment, and mechanical tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with mechanical repairs (diesel & petrol) under the direction of the Team Leader
Pick up and deliver vehicles, equipment, and parts as required
Yard movements of heavy vehicles, including rigid trucks, prime movers, and trailers
Maintain workshop and equipment cleanliness and organisation
Perform weekly/monthly vehicle and equipment checks
Maintain accurate job cards and records
Follow all OHS procedures and participate in safety programs
Skills & Attributes:
Strong mechanical knowledge and workshop experience
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Well-organised, motivated, and safety-conscious
Qualifications & Licences:
Minimum HC Driver Licence (B Double / MC advantageous)
Forklift Licence preferred
White Card (preferred)
