Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Design Team Lead, the position will create and revise assembly BioProcess Containers drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical. A Drafter will also be required to create cost files, work on projects assigned by department leadership as well as act as a future Mentor for new Drafters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a global design queue.
- Use SFDC (Salesforce.com) to handle department design review workflow.
- Use PDM Enterprise for managing revision control of all drawings and apply search features to support finalizing compositions when needed.
- Use MasterControl (Quality Management System) to generate new info card numbers, manage personal training tasks and review information to facilitate design completion as needed.
- Use AutoCAD Mechanical to build simple to sophisticated BioProcess Container product drawings using predesigned blocks or manually create and test block geometry as the design requires per existing guidelines.
- Generate cost files for completed designs using LISP commands within AutoCAD Mechanical.
- Communicate effectively with and proactively determine next steps with Design Engineers and Commercial colleagues to aid in the on-time completion of design requests.
- Attend meetings that review department targets and maintain an understanding of personal metrics.
- Conduct a thorough self-check to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Proactively participate in the company's continuous improvement programs taking the lead on assigned projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and previous drafting experience required, or an associate degree, or Technical Drafting qualification.
- Competence in Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Excel software.
- Able to present product designs in clear, organized formats.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet customer needs.
- Apply organisational and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- Proficient in AutoCAD Application.
- High school diploma required.
