Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Document Imaging Specialist to join our Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precision digitization of fragile, official government documents and the conversion of microfiche archives into high-quality digital copies.
You will join a specialized project team dedicated to preserving history and ensuring these vital records are accessible to the world.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Digitize historical records and microfiche archives using specialized camera scanners and imaging software to create high-quality digital representations.
Collaborate with project managers to provide regular status updates and ensure the accuracy of digital archives through rigorous quality checks.
Ensure compliance with preservation standards by safely handling delicate, fragile documents according to highly detailed handling processes.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong technical knowledge of imaging equipment, photography, and editing software, with a preference for experience in digitization or library sciences.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to identify discrepancies and manage digital databases accurately.
Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a deep awareness of the cultural significance and respectful representation of historical documents.
What we offer :
Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
Schedule: Summer job opportunity starting June 1st for a 3-month duration.
Location: 318 Leroy Street, Unit 6, Audubon, Iowa 50025, USA.
