Job Title: Document Controller

Job Overview
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation in compliance with National Grid (NG) standards and procedures. This role ensures accurate, timely, and secure handling of documents throughout the project lifecycle, supporting operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
What you will do:
Maintain and control all project documentation in accordance with NG TP135 and other relevant NG procedures.
· Ensure proper document versioning, distribution, and archiving.
· Creating and maintain CDL and SDI documents accurately and up to date.
· Liaise with project teams to collect, review, and update documentation.
· On-site document filing in accordance with NG procedure.
· Monitor compliance with NG standards and provide guidance on document control processes.
· Support audits and inspections by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation.
· Travel to project sites as required to manage documentation and support field operations.
Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Document Controller within National Grid projects.
· Strong knowledge of NG TP135 and other related NG procedures.
· Familiarity with CDL and SDI document management.
· Experience with document management systems and quality assurance processes.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Valid full UK driving licence
Education:
Minimum: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
· Preferred: NVQ or Diploma in Administration, Document Control, or related field.
· Additional training in NG standards and procedures is highly desirable.
