About the opportunity
As the Divisional Director, you will play a pivotal role in partnering closely with the Executive Director, WMH, to deliver sustainable Better @ Home and Support Services aligned with Mercy Health’s strategy, mission and values.
You will lead divisional operations, drive performance outcomes, champion innovation, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Your portfolio includes oversight of Outpatients, Hospital in the Home, the Health Independence Program, Environmental & Food Services, and key external relationships including pathology and medical imaging providers.
You will oversee strategic planning, budget performance, quality and safety, workforce development, clinical governance, and operational efficiency across the division.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, values‑based leadership across all Better @ Home and Support Services.
Lead operational performance, reporting, service redesign and divisional business plans.
Drive innovation and major improvement initiatives across WMH.
Ensure divisional budgets, capital plans and financial targets are developed and achieved.
About You:
You are an experienced senior leader with a track record of delivering complex health services in large organisations. You thrive in environments of transformation, innovation and strategic growth. You are collaborative, influential, and committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.
You bring:
Extensive senior clinical or management experience in a large, complex healthcare setting.
Demonstrated achievements in service redesign, change management and improvement initiatives.
High‑level leadership, communication and relationship‑building capabilities.
Strong financial, analytical and decision‑making skills.

Qualifications:
Nursing or Allied Health qualification (AHPRA registration if required).
Postgraduate qualifications in health services, business, management or equivalent (desirable).
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
