Position Overview

The District Manager is responsible for leading multiple Southern Tide retail locations within an assigned territory. This role drives sales performance, operational excellence, brand consistency, talent development, and profitability while ensuring an exceptional customer experience aligned with Southern Tide’s premium lifestyle brand standards.

The DM acts as a strategic business leader, coach, and culture ambassador.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Financial Performance

Drive district sales and achieve revenue, margin, and KPI targets

Analyze store-level P&L statements and identify opportunities for growth

Monitor payroll, expense control, and shrink performance

Develop action plans to improve underperforming stores

Partner with Store Managers to execute seasonal strategies and promotions

2. Leadership & Talent Development

Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing Store Managers and leadership teams

Conduct regular store visits with structured feedback and coaching

Create succession plans and identify emerging talent

Ensure onboarding and training programs are executed effectively

Foster a high-accountability, high-performance culture

3. Brand & Customer Experience

Ensure consistent execution of Southern Tide brand standards

Oversee visual merchandising and store presentation compliance

Champion exceptional customer service and clienteling initiatives

Monitor and improve customer engagement metrics

4. Operational Excellence

Ensure stores comply with company policies and procedures

Drive inventory accuracy and operational best practices

Partner with corporate teams (HR, Merchandising, Planning, Operations)

Support new store openings and relocations as needed

5. Strategic Planning & Communication

Develop district-level business strategies aligned with company objectives

Communicate corporate initiatives clearly and effectively

Provide field feedback to leadership on trends, opportunities, and challenges

Lead district meetings and regular performance reviews

Qualifications

5+ years multi-unit retail leadership experience (premium or lifestyle brand preferred)

Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience

Proven ability to develop leaders and build high-performing teams

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Willingness to travel within assigned territory (50–75%)
