Golden Nozzle Car Wash started in the 1970’s as a complement to the other motoring public businesses owned by F.L. Roberts & Company, headquartered in Springfield, MA. The name ‘Golden Nozzle’ derived from the color of the gas station pumps at F.L. Robert gas stations in Western Massachusetts.
In the fall of 2016, Nouria Energy acquired F.L. Roberts & Company’s convenience stores and Golden Nozzle Car Wash locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. As a Nouria company, Golden Nozzle Car Wash has become the gold standard for car care in the region. The chain has grown and expanded exponentially since becoming part of the Nouria family, opening and rebranding existing car wash facilities in five New England states. Golden Nozzle’s successful monthly wash membership program began in 2008. Members of the monthly wash program enjoy unlimited car washes at any Golden Nozzle locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut,
Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

Position: Car Wash District Manager
Reports to: Director of Car Wash Operations
Golden Nozzle Car Wash began in the 1970’s as a complement to a group of gas stations operating in Western Massachusetts. Since becoming part of the Nouria family in 2016, the chain has grown and expanded from seventeen (17) original locations to fifty (50) and counting! Golden Nozzle Car Wash continues to open and rebrand existing car wash facilities in five New England states.

General Summary: District Managers are responsible for multiple locations in one territory This includes responsibility for the sales growth, expense management and operational performance of the assigned Area and direct supervision of 5-15 Site Managers who supervise site level employees. This includes establishing and monitoring budgets, employee staffing and development, execution of all customer service programs, development and execution of all site level policies and procedures and assuring adherence to all corporate goals and objectives. The DM reports directly to the District Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for doing what is necessary to minimize the safety risks to employees, customers and suppliers. Assures that all employees are adequately trained on safety policies and procedures and maintains adequate controls to verify compliance to these. Is accountable for Lost Time Incidents at sites and responsible for managing the LTI process. Assures all environmental and hazardous material regulations are strictly enforced.
Financials
Develops and executes site level budgets as well as the overall Area operating budget. Responsible and accountable for the steady improvement of Area profitability and the delivery of budgeted financial objectives. Responsible for maximizing Car Wash Sales at each location in accordance with company guidelines and objectives. Manage all sites within labor expense targets. Follow established guidelines to assure all employees strictly adhere to all site level operating procedures.
Station Appearance and Customer Service
The Area Manager has full responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the sites as well as the execution of Nouria’s customer service program. Responsible for assuring that all operations under the AM control represent good corporate citizenry. Regularly walk all sites to assure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations. Verifies all Site manager duties are completed accurately and on time.
PERSONNEL
Assure appropriate staffing of all sites including manager and assistant manager and develop a strong working team among all employees in the territory in accordance with company guidelines. Manages training and development profiles of employees to assure adequately trained staff Manages employee performance program as well as performance problems to assure compliance to all federal and local regulations and corporate policy guidelines. Has full knowledge of federal and state regulations in regard to discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Manages the business to assure the Nouria is in full compliance with these regulations. Actively participates in the unemployment claim process on behalf of Nouria. Maintains open, honest, and timely written and oral communication with Nouria Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Degree or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Car Wash Management Experience required. Ability to understand budgets and performance metrics and develop action plans accordingly. Good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage detail. Operates independently with minimal oversight. Can lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
