Key Responsibilities:

The District coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and management to the grant project implemented in particular District S/he will provide strategic and field level leadership to develop and implement We Rise Together  Project successfully. The Project Coordinator will ensure adherence to overall technical and programmatic quality in implementation and regulations and the timely submission of overall deliverables given in the project proposal.

Major Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with relevant technical team, develop implementation models, delivery mechanism and approaches.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the CSO strengthening and promoting the project objectives in coordination with team, partners, community and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the relevant government organizations and target beneficiaries to implement the project.
  • Strong networking and collaboration with relevant Government Departments/ Institutions & Farmer groups /Producer groups etc. for successful implementation of project interventions and advocacy.
  • Facilitate for the baseline, final evaluation and audits as required.
  • Mobilize technical, human, financial resources & assist stakeholders and community partners to identify and mobilize community resources needed for project implementation.
  • Facilitate Divisional & provincial level discussions including reflection and learning.
  • Manage Resources with integrity and stewardship in compliance with WVL’s and Grant financial policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate to timely produce and submit monthly, mid - year and Annual reports as per grant requirement.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies or Community development.
  • 4 years of working experience in similar position.
  • Written and oral communication skills in English and Tamil, with moderate knowledge of Sinhala considered an added advantage
  • Ability to work in stressful environments with physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
  • Well-developed written and oral communications in Tamil. Fluency in written & spoken English.
