The Job:  

This position provides leadership and development of direct reports within the Third Shift Operations. Designates workload for Associates and supports all shipping and picking functions as well as inbound put away. Maintains the quality standards; meets daily production goals and appropriately staffs the department. Strong follow-through on all associate issues is a basic requirement.

  • Coordinates workflow and manpower availability to ensure the achievement of all company and department goals each day.  Provides staffing expectations.  Develops and maintains standard operation procedures for all areas of responsibility. 
  • Provide appropriate process training to associates to ensure their safety and the accuracy of inventory transactions/movement.
  • Ensures associates meet company and departmental standards for quality, productivity, housekeeping & safety. 
  • Ensures associate’s ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
  • Responsible for performance reviews, maintenance of attendance records, and all other supervisory duties associated with record-keeping.
  • Cross-trains all associates in the department and enforces all company policies and procedures. 
  • Partners with Human Resources to resolve associate relation issues.
  • Develops Team Leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned associates.
  • Supervise other departments as required.

The Person:   

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Work Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3-7 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting
  • Minimum 3 years' leadership experience

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory or warehouse software, databases, and other systems including SAP and WMS, preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • High degree of credibility and integrity

Additional Traits and Competencies:

  • Proven track record of change management (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands. May occasionally be required to kneel, crouch or stoop.
  • Required to lift and/or move 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility
