We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Distribution Planner. This role will report to the Executive Manager, Supply Operations.
A bit about your role
As the Distribution Planner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the right materials reach nbn’s Delivery Partners and Technicians at the right time to support both build and assurance activity. You will plan, allocate and manage last‑mile material supply, focusing on dependable fulfilment and a seamless flow of inventory across a national footprint. Through coordination and strong governance, you will nurture relationships upstream and downstream, helping the organisation respond to demand while capturing and resolving pain points that affect operational performance.
In this role, you will oversee sales order management with a particular focus on delivery in full and on time. You will analyse data to understand usage patterns, interpret complex designs and bills of materials, and make informed decisions that directly influence working capital outcomes. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimise processes and reduce operating costs while strengthening the experience for our partners and technicians.
A bit about you
You bring experience in supply chain and business analysis, project delivery or a related field, and you are comfortable working with systems such as Oracle, Salesforce and the Microsoft suite. Your analytical capability allows you to navigate detailed data sets with ease, and you feel comfortable using advanced tools to generate insights that shape operational decisions. You communicate clearly and, confident collaborating with several stakeholder groups to resolve issues and anticipate future needs.
You have a proactive mindset, with an appreciation for cost efficiency and operational discipline. You work well in environments where timely decisions matter, and you approach challenges with curiosity. With your ability to balance detail with purpose, you will help nbn deliver reliable material supply outcomes that support our broader mission of connecting communities across the country.
