Distribution Associate, I
Location: This position is based at our Walkersville, MD site and is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Distribution Associate provides daily operational support to the Distribution Department, with working knowledge across Receiving, Shipping, and Warehousing. The individual will be assigned to one primary area while also cross-training in others and may be required to work occasional overtime. Responsibilities include utilizing the SAP system to execute transactions such as Goods Receipt, Shipments, Stock Overview, Stock Put-Away, and Material Movements, all while maintaining strict GMP compliance.

What you will do:
Proficient in execution in one of the three functional areas; (Receiving, Shipping, or Warehousing) with a general working knowledge in the remaining areas. Attain basic understanding of SAP transactions directly related to core area duties.
Perform general warehouse processes (Location/Put-Away, Retrieval/Picking, Receiving, Stock Consolidation and Picking/Packing) ensuring compliance with GMP requirements.
Shipping activities to include picking and packing orders for shipment, cryopreserved material handling, freight preparation, and truck loading with appropriate MHE.
Receiving activities to include inbound material acceptance with appropriate MHE, incoming material inspection and appropriate documentation completion, receipt of goods utilizing SAP, and raw material sampling.
Warehouse activities to include picking, staging, and delivery of internal orders, managing stock put-away of raw materials and finished goods, and creating / completing daily inventory status reports.
Accurately enters a variety of SAP transactions or reports to support the operations (Goods Receipt, Shipments, Stock Overview, Stock Put-Away, and Material Movements).
Continue with ongoing required area training to increase knowledge and understanding.
Complete ongoing Employee Health & Safety (EHS) awareness training.
Complete training on job-related equipment (i.e. pallets jacks, fork trucks, order pickers, motor vehicle use). Safely, properly and efficiently operate material handling equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent; demonstrates company values with a positive, team-oriented attitude and proactive, constructive communication.
Strong attention to detail with minimal error rates; able to complete tasks accurately, on time, and in compliance with detailed procedures and technical instructions in English.
Reliable work history with excellent attendance and punctuality; flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent) and the ability to prepare and follow routine administrative documentation.
Ability to perform basic math using a calculator and accurately sort, check, count, verify, receive, track, and distribute inventory or stock.
Ability to perform essential physical duties, including lifting, moving, and handling materials up to 65 lbs., as well as standing or performing repetitive tasks required in a manufacturing environment.
Forklift license/certification or other relevant equipment certifications are a plus.
