Dispensing Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dispensing supervisor is responsible for overseeing dispensing activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility to ensure accurate weighing, material traceability, and compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. The role supports uninterrupted production by ensuring timely and error free dispensing of raw materials while maintaining documentation, safety, and quality standards. Supervise dispensing of APIs, excipients, and additives as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).

Major Responsibilities:

•    Plan, organize & arrange daily raw materials dispensing against shop orders (MO).
•    Ensure correct material selection, weighing accuracy, labeling, and status verification.
•    Maintain segregation of materials based on status (approved, rejected, quarantined).
•    Ensure compliance with line clearance and area clearance requirements. Ensure dispensing activities comply with cGMP, WHO, DRAP, FDA, and company SOPs.
•    Maintain complete and accurate dispensing documentation and logbooks.  Review and ensure accurate completion of BMR/BPR dispensing sections.
•    Ensure compliance with data integrity principles (ALCOA+).
•    Maintain reconciliation records for dispensed materials.  Coordinate with Warehouse, QA, and Production Planning for material availability.
•    Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
•    Issuance of raw materials to manufacturing as per procedure.
•    Ensure daily checking & standardization of weighing scales / balances & maintain the record up to date.
•    Maintain temperature record of required area.
•    Keep vigilance over expiry date items & ensure consumption as far as possible before the date.
•    Ensure neat & clean arrangement of raw materials in dispensing area & maintain good housekeeping, G.M.P., Safety, industrial hygiene.
•    Issue of Psychotropic substance i.e., Pseudoephedrine and maintained its record.
•    Any other job assigned by the senior.

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

• Science Graduate/Master; preferably Pharm D
• 2-3 years’ experience in the same capacity 
• Proficient in MS Office
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills
