Position: Dispatcher

Location: 9411 NE 99th St Vancouver, WA 98662
Department: Operations
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or until the last driver returns.

Wage: $24 - $29 per hour, DOE. Overtime as needed.
Reports To: Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with Operations and Customer Service to resolve service concerns
• Analyze and resolve issues such as missed pickups, misplaced containers, or property matters
• Provide drivers with support and clarification for pickups and deliveries
• Schedule and dispatch work to drivers throughout the day
• Utilize Waste Connections proprietary software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Maintain positive customer interactions and promote goodwill
• Perform in a high‑volume, fast‑paced call environment
• Upsell additional services when applicable

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years dispatch experience in transportation/logistics preferred
• Strong typing and computer skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills
• Veterans encouraged to apply
