Are you creative and have a solid understanding of physical consumer product development? Then, this opportunity is for you! As the Product Design Intern, you will assist teams in ensuring the highest-quality, consumer-focused, trend-right product lines across all distribution channels that build brand equity and meet financial targets.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2026 to January 2027.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and design product mock-ups, compile line sheets for line reviews, and layout creative presentations and pitch decks

  • Collaborate with the design team to establish color palettes and point-of-view boards

  • Coordinate product submissions for reviews and approvals

  • Organize and maintain product and market samples

  • Ensure product approvals through digital platforms and collaborative meetings, maintaining exceptional quality in character execution, intricate storytelling, and excellence in color, material, form, and function

  • Concept, design, sketch, prototype, and present trend-right, consumer-centric product lines with market-leading innovation while optimizing profitability

  • Monitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics

  • Research initial seasonal trends by category

  • Manage multiple design projects within established deadlines

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven entry-level experience in related areas

  • Exceptional knowledge and passion for color direction

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding product design skills (e.g., product design, technical design, advanced sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, fabric, and trim identification)

  • Proficient computer software skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, inclusive of Photoshop and Illustrator; MS Office)

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program

  • Be at least 18 years of age​

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​

Additional Information

  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines while at work

  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 - January 2027

  • Must have the ability to work full-time hours (approximately 40 per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship

  • Being able to provide one's own housing and reliable transportation to/from work is required

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $22.50 per hour.
