The Red Hat Americas Services team is looking for a Director, West Service Delivery to lead the Services delivery team for the West region.
As a key member of the Americas Services management team, you will work in close partnership with the Services Sales leader of the West region as well as your peers for other regions. You’ll oversee and lead the delivery process of our Services projects after closure. As a Business Manager, you’ll manage the profit and loss of the Services business in the West as well as ensure meeting set customer satisfaction metrics. Your organization will consist of teams of technical Consultants, Architects and project managers. You will provide guidance including one-on-one meetings, escalation situations, performance and development, technical training, and general team coordination within your region.
What you will do:
Recruit, Develop and retain an organization consisting of Consultants, Architects and Project managers.
Oversee service delivery in all accounts within your region; be accountable for revenue and margin targets of your region.
Work closely with the local Go To Market Services Management to ensure proper alignment between Services and the GTM team in regards to the regional’ strategic directions, investment decisions, capacity, skills and development plans.
Supporting the booking and revenue growth
Act as an executive leader and sponsor during the whole customer journey
Take responsibility for revenue, margin, and billability targets for the team
Support the weekly forecasting for revenue and utilization.
Set up and maintain a capacity plan for skills needed; develop the team's skills and partner network to ensure high quality support for business needs and for existing and upcoming technologies
Ensure profitability and staff sufficiency by collaborating with the Services Operations team
Support customer & partner escalations in the Consulting area.
Work with the enablement teams for the region to ensure the availability of appropriate training.
Represent Red Hat Services in the regional leadership teams
Collaborate with your Services manager colleagues in Training & Certification and TAM Services, GEO services platform practices, the Ecosystem Marketing teams, and other Red Hat Services Leaders in GEO on wider strategic initiatives and business development activities
What you will bring
Successful multi year track record managing a services business on regional level.
Extensive expertise in delivering strategic consulting services and driving client success
Demonstrated experience developing a business team or organization and managing within a matrix environment
Practical experience with people management, including a successful record of talent development within a team
Ability to create and articulate the value proposition; experience in consultative selling and professional services delivery
Experience leading and working in virtual and cross-functional teams
Knowledge of project management processes and experience with revenue-based project reporting
Ability to understand the technical impact of projects and the business impact on both Red Hat and customers in delivering and scoping projects
Knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions will be considered a plus
Good understanding of enterprise architecture technologies, including application development and infrastructure to assist their reports by recommending appropriate technical training and supporting them in case of issues with engagement is nice to have but not mandatory.
Candidates must be located in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
The salary range for this position is $272,500.00 - $463,140.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
