WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

  • Lead strategic direction, business performance, and financial management for complex activities within a Division or Global Business Unit.

  • Manage people, technology, and financial resources, potentially utilizing resources outside of direct authority.

  • Share knowledge across the Global Business Unit and establish systems for knowledge sharing.

  • Foster continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging acceptable risk-taking in daily operations.

  • Develop solutions to complex problems and hold accountability for decisions within the Division or Global Business Unit.

  • Contribute to strategy development and execution, managing talent and leadership development, and participating in succession planning.

  • Hold senior managers accountable for skill development and diversity, and lead resources to deliver on priorities.

  • Set strategic direction for the Division or Global Business Unit, influencing senior management decisions and working with customers or leadership to achieve objectives.

  • Manage multiple projects within a division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering professional growth among Direct reports.

  • Oversee project execution, monitor progress, engage with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement to enhance future project performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • BA/BS with at least 8+ years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 7+ years of experience or PhD with at least 5+ years of experience

  • Proven experience working and building relationships with senior business Executives and leadership teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship management

  • Ability to understand large-scale system implementations in different technology focus areas

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences

  • Adaptable and demonstrates flexibility in the face of shifting targets, thrives in new situations

  • Strategic thinker, understands the overall context, business implications, and is able to think through a problem both conceptually and logically for better solutions

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.

  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

  • Strong multi-discipline experience with a preference for experience in technology strategy and management, management consulting, and engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams

  • Experience in managing large-scale digital transformation projects

  • Ability to navigate and influence in a complex, matrixed organization

  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities.  Working with various stakeholders from multiple groups.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to meet with colleagues virtually across different regions and time zones.
