The system will leverage commercial LEO satellites and Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISLs) for integrated, hybrid MilSatCom networking which, combined with Telesat’s longstanding engineering excellence, will deliver secure, reliable and cost-effective global connectivity for government and defense applications.
The Director, USG Federal/Civil Programs, based in our Arlington, VA office, will be responsible for providing technical leadership and coordination of interaction with US Federal and Civil Space agencies related to Telesat’s LEO Constellation services.
As an integral part of the LEO program team, the candidate will be responsible to develop the technical relationship with key stakeholders within the agencies and develop with them high performance satellite communication solutions.
In this role, the candidate will have significant influence on the development of future government services based on Telesat’s state of the art satellite solutions.
This position will also require program management for pre-launch systems engineering, prototyping, demonstrations, and studies leading to future Lightspeed service sales to the addressable market.
