The Role

The candidate in this position will play a critical role in supporting Moderna’s US Commercial Strategy. In this role, you will have a key role in the launch and fulfillment of Moderna’s portfolio of respiratory vaccines and future pipeline products. In addition, you will support the US Account Management teams by assisting in managing the operational aspects of the country’s largest providers of Health Care products and services. 

In this role you will be responsible for leading the fulfillment of Moderna’s products through national and regional Wholesalers and Distributors and select National Vaccination providers (national Retail Pharmacies, Integrated Delivery Networks, etc.).  In addition, you will lead a team and engage with cross-functional teams to drive the evolution of business systems (EDI, Orders-To-Cash, etc.) and integration of systems with business partners (Wholesalers/Distributors, National Retail Pharmacies, Integrated Delivery Networks, US Government Entities, etc.). This role will also collaborate with internal teams to support Moderna’s entire customer experience including customer facing platforms, call centers, and eCommerce integrations as well as the operational functions to support the full vaccine portfolio to strategic customers.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the internal expert interfacing with Distribution Partners including 3PL providers; manage daily operations relating to data integrations across multiple platforms (EDI, BOOMI, etc.).

  • Validate data sets (financials relating to pricing, invoicing, sales, product data relating to inventory and product profile), provide customer support and reporting from multiple systems and liaise with the Account Management Team.

  • In working closely with the US Account Management Team and other internal colleagues, lead the delivery of Moderna’s products to Wholesalers/Distributors and select national vaccination providers.  This may include coordination of activities with a Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL).  Ensure that orders are received and processed, delivery timelines are met, inventory targets are achieved, and all activities are coordinated with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide oversight of all aspects of the order fulfillment process for Commercial customers, including but not limited to order entry, order tracking, shipping confirmations, and resolutions of customer service issues. Provide visibility of issues and resolutions to internal stakeholders including platform or process enhancements to address root issue causes

  • Support internal and external partners in the development of digital capabilities for new and existing platforms; responsible for leading teams in managing and supporting the implementation of improvements to the order management process to increase efficiencies and maximize customer experience.

  • Work closely with Directors, Account Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Field Medical Teams to ensure defined Customer service level is met or exceeded.

  • Work closely with the Customer Master Data Management function and ensure adherence to company policy, ensure customer specific protocols are drafted and adhered to, support Contract Management rostering and ensure pricing strategy alignment.

  • Continuously gain knowledge and stay informed about industry and market, identifying opportunities for process improvements and communicating them to management and colleagues.

  • Interface with Leadership team as needed to draft and present business or project updates, support departmental business proposals, and recommended strategies in collaboration with the Director, US Commercial Operations.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in vaccines or pharmaceuticals showcasing increasing responsibility and experience in the same or similar roles

  • Demonstrated success working with the largest and most complex healthcare customers, including national wholesalers and distributors, retail pharmacy chains, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and U.S. government entities.

The salary range for this role is $167,000.00 - $300,700.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
