Director, TPG Central Business Management
Role Overview
The Technology and Products Group (TPG) is creating a new Central Business Management organization to fundamentally strengthen how we plan, allocate resources, and execute with operational discipline.
The Director of TPG Central Business Management will lead a newly formed team responsible for improving how we conduct business planning and operational reviews. This role serves as the integrating force for quarterly budget cycles, scenario planning, monthly operations reviews, and executive reporting, while driving standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of TPG business processes.
You will partner with senior leaders across engineering, finance, business operations, and IT to drive common processes, scalable systems, and actionable insights—ensuring TPG’s resources are aligned to the highest value priorities and changing business needs.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on executive decision-making, enabling clarity, consistency, and discipline across complex, multi‑year technology programs. Key Responsibilities
Business Planning & Resource Management
Partner closely with TPG business operations leaders, balancing the needs of the technology teams while standardizing and deploying tools to streamline business planning.
Central point of contact for quarterly budget and resource planning, summarizing details around headcount, wafers, capex, and opex for technology programs.
Develop efficient and effective scenario-based resource planning to support changing business priorities.
Facilitate the annual business planning process for TPG.
Operational Cadence & Reporting
Orchestrate preparation of operational reviews and executive-level reporting.
Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights for senior TPG leadership.
Drive a consistent operating rhythm that improves accountability, visibility, and follow-through.
Business Process & Systems
Drive continuous improvement of TPG business processes through standardization, automation, and best-known methods.
Partner with IT and analytics teams to deliver fit-for-purpose planning and reporting systems.
Build a scalable analytics framework with clear KPIs and increasingly automated reporting.
Change Management & Leadership
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Central Business Management team.
Own change management and communication for new processes, tools, and operating models.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in business management, operations, finance, strategy, or related fields.
Proven success leading complex planning processes and executive-level reporting.
Ability to influence across a high matrixed organization and operate effectively with senior TPG leadership.
Experience building teams, driving transformation, and delivering results through others.
