About the Role

We’re looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead our efforts to attract and hire exceptional talent into the Mammoth Brands ecosystem. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll manage a team that includes recruiting operations, recruiting coordinators and both in-house and third-party recruiters. You’ll be responsible for building the strategies, programs, and practices that will allow us to scale our team with the very best talent, helping to create a high-performing, inclusive organization.  You’ll utilize data to understand the employee experience and support our efforts to create an environment that allows great talent to thrive.  You’ll build strong pipelines of talent, ensuring we can access talent from diverse backgrounds.  You’ll build a difference-making talent engine that drives our success.

In this role, you’ll partner with leaders from across the company and within the People team to guide our talent acquisition and onboarding efforts.  You’ll engage in measuring and improving the employee experience. You’ll develop flexible acquisition models that allow us to hire amazing and representative talent efficiently. You’ll oversee executive recruitment both directly and in partnership with contingent and retained third-party search firms. You’ll also launch programs that raise the consistency, inclusivity, rigor, and quality of our hiring processes. Most importantly, you’ll coach and develop our recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers so that every candidate has a world-class experience with us and every hire raises the bar at Mammoth Brands.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Define the Talent Acquisition strategy for Mammoth Brands, covering recruitment, employer marketing, hiring and onboarding of ~120+ high performing people each year for one of the fastest growing CPG companies in the world.
  • Build systems and processes that ensure recruiting is consistent, repeatable, data-driven, inclusive, and efficient; identify, integrate and enhance tools that drive efficiency, improve accuracy, create transparency, and support great candidate experiences.  Ensure candidate onboarding connects to their hiring experience, partnering with our Hiring Managers and People Business Partners to successfully integrate new talent into the company. 
  • Lead through data and identify ways to streamline and automate. Evaluate results in an objective, unbiased and clear way - and communicate those results to the company so that the wider team understands our process, priorities and results. Find ways to leverage AI that improve our process without compromising experience.
  • Oversee team and executive recruitment and manage external search firm relationships when appropriate - managing the team’s portfolio of ~30 open roles at any given time.  Partner within the People team to ensure we’re delivering equitable and fair processes by leveraging internal data and experience.
  • Coach the organization at every level. Use your knowledge of best practices and the hiring market to inform, guide, and advance role scopes, search approaches, role marketing, and candidate profiles. Partner with executives and business leaders to build talent strategies and deliver results. 
  • Actively audit and engage in our hiring processes and make adjustments as needed in response to candidate and market feedback so that we attract and retain values-aligned, highly-capable talent 
  • Develop training programs and resources to ensure interviewers and hiring managers deliver effective, timely candidate assessments that give us a competitive edge
  • Deploy strong project management skills, alongside excellent communication and strategic thinking while ensuring world-class execution of our work - and coach the team to do the same
  • Partner with external organizations to develop robust talent pipelines and ensure we’re attracting talent from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Map and analyze how the talent we hire progresses throughout their experience in order to inform talent strategies going forward, and map learnings back into improved strategies and tools for role scoping, hiring processes and onboarding. 
  • Develop and coach your own team. Develop your team as individuals and create a development- and feedback-focused team environment. Develop a culture of engagement, celebration, and clear expectations. 

 

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience working on Talent Acquisition, with at least some of that in high-growth environments where you’ve identified and recruited top talent while working closely with your leadership teams. Demonstrated expertise hiring and developing great talent and coaching people to realize their potential
  • Experience managing, designing, and leading critical processes and familiarity with managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong operator who can balance short-term needs with long-term strategy
  • Skilled program builder - you’ve designed and implemented initiatives that improved results, establishing specific program details and measurements and managing roll-outs and on-going training to bring to life
  • Data-driven decision maker who uses metrics to track progress and optimize processes
  • Passionate about candidate experience, inclusion, and building diverse teams
  • Comfortable coaching executives and managers, influencing decisions, and driving consistency at scale; Strong relationship builder with credibility and presence at the executive level
  • Builder’s mindset - you get energy from creating a powerhouse teams in a high-growth environment

The Mammoth Brands working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful 70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday.  Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!

We can’t quantify all of the intangible things we think you’ll love about working at Mammoth Brands, like the exciting challenges we tackle, the smart and humble team you’ll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $200,000-$215,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
