Position Summary

McKesson is seeking a Director, System Solutions.

The Supply Chain System Solutions Director will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced planning systems and digital tools within McKesson’s Supply Chain System Enablement Center of Excellence. This leader will bridge technology and operations, ensuring seamless integration of planning processes, analytics, and system capabilities to drive efficiency, improve service levels, and enable strategic transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Implementation & Digital Roadmap

  • Manage strategic, complex supply chain technology implementation projects.
  • Execute against and contribute to the digital roadmap for planning systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee technical configurations and enhancements to maintain system competitiveness.

Process Integration & Optimization

  • Collaborate with supply chain inventory planning teams to harmonize processes.
  • Drive scenario planning and system configuration activities to support decision-making.
  • Implement cost improvements and operational efficiencies leveraging technology.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Establish communication plans and conduct project briefings for stakeholders.
  • Partner with MT, analytics teams, and external vendors to ensure successful implementation.
  • Serve as liaison between supply chain inventory planning and technical teams.

Governance & Compliance

  • Develop policies and templates for access control and monitor compliance.
  • Conduct technical assessments and recommend future-state improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements.

People Leadership

  • Support adoption of new technology solutions through training and mentoring.
  • Foster a caring and engaging employee experience; set goals and provide performance feedback.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience.
  • 4+ years of management experience.

Education

  • 4-Year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree, or equivalent experience a significant plus.

Certification

Kinaxis Certifications (Preferred Author & Administrator Certifications).

Critical Skills

  • 12+ years in supply chain or Technology roles (preferred 4+ years managing technology implementation projects.
  • Technical aptitude in ERP and procurement systems. Kinaxis, SAP ERP and/or S4 Hana preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen related to inventory and cash flow.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Expertise in project management and software implementation life cycles.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex system deployments.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes (demand, supply, inventory).

Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analytics.
  • Certifications in supply chain, project management, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Executive presence and ability to present at senior levels.
  • Experience implementing planning systems.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$130,000 - $216,600
