JOB DESCRIPTION:

About the Role:

The Director of System Integration provides strategic leadership for integrating instrument, assay, software, electrical, and mechanical components into cohesive diagnostic systems. In addition to driving system readiness and cross-functional alignment, this role drives the innovation roadmap and product pipeline strategy. The position is a key accountability for intellectual property(IP) development, ensuring competitive differentiation and protection of core technologies. The Director also manages strategic partnerships and alliances, both internally and externally, including key collaborations in the European region, to accelerate innovation and ensure global alignment on technical deliverables.

What You’ll Work On

  • Directs activities to ensure new product development activities are achieved within agreed upon scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Define and execute the system integration strategy for diagnostic platforms.
  • Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, outside regulatory agencies, customers, vendors and/or suppliers
  • Represent System Integration in program-level forums and influence strategic decisions.
    Manage alliances with external partners, including European collaborations, to align on system readiness and technical deliverables.
  • Participate in and influence high-level decision-making through representation on Instrument and Assay Core Teams
  • Drive innovation roadmap. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for breakthrough applications in our products and services
  • Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent. Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Manages performance of staff towards department and Company goals, including feedback on performance, appraisals, recommendations for merit increases or necessary disciplinary actions, communication to employees on performance, etc.
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
  • Minimum 14 years experience in related field
  • Ability to manage external partnerships and alliances
  • Strong communication, cross-functional negotiation, and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Deep understanding of instrument–assay interaction and system-level performance drivers
  • Expertise in system architecture, reliability engineering, sensitivity optimization, and workflow integration
  • Strong expertise in system integration, system requirements, and cross-component interface management
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams

The base pay for this position is

$172,000.00 – $344,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
