Job Description

About the Role:

The Director, Strategy Planning & Execution is a critical leader and enabler for defining and executing key strategic priorities across Invesco Americas and EMEA, in partnership with senior commercial and functional leaders. The role blends structured problem-solving with hands-on execution: translating ambiguous questions into clear workplans, driving analyses to insight, and shaping executive-ready narratives that support decisions. This position sits within the Americas & EMEA COO team and will frequently interact with senior executives, business leaders, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Drive high-priority strategic initiatives end-to-end with team support: problem framing, building hypotheses, structuring analyses, synthesizing insights, and enabling decisions and execution.

  • Develop executive-ready communications for leadership forums, including updates, pre-reads, and decision memos.

  • Partner across multiple teams such as Distribution, Investments, Product/Solutions, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Technology to align stakeholders, resolve trade-offs, and accelerate delivery.

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform strategy (e.g., market/segment profiling, operational efficiency opportunities, scenario and sensitivity analysis).

  • Support internal governance groups and boards as required; includes supporting a strong operating cadence for the Americas leadership team through content planning, follow-ups, and action tracking.

  • Model Invesco’s team-friendly culture: build trusted relationships, bring a low-ego, high-ownership mindset, and raise the bar on quality and responsiveness.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months):

  • Becomes a trusted “go-to” problem solver for the Americas leadership team - able to independently take on ambiguous asks and drive to clear outputs.

  • Raises the standard for executive materials - crisp communication, clean exhibits, and clear implications and recommendations.

  • Improves operating rhythm effectiveness - better-prepared meetings, tighter follow-up, and visible progress against priorities

  • Accelerates 2–4 priority initiatives for Americas and EMEA by aligning stakeholders, clarifying strategy, and providing analytical and execution rigor.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree optional but a plus.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting (e.g., Associate/Engagement Manager) or equivalent experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, or similar strategic and high-demand roles.

  • Demonstrated experience creating executive-level communications and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Experience in asset management or financial services preferred, but not required.

  • Comfort with and interested in utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools such as Microsoft CoPilot

  • High-impact, hypothesis-oriented problem solver with a strong bias to action.

  • Focused on client success and business outcomes.

  • Excellent communicator with executive presence; can tailor message to audience and deliver concise, impactful narratives.

  • Collaborative, low-ego teammate who builds trust quickly and is committed to fostering an environment for high-performing teams

  • High bar for quality and pace; thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent priorities.

  • Eager to learn about new areas of innovation, disruption and technology, such as Artificial Intelligence and Digital Assets.
