What is the opportunity?

As the Director, Strategy & Growth, you will be responsible for supporting the Personal Lending (PL) leadership team in the on-going design and execution of the PL 5-year strategic plan and bold ambitions to drive desired outcomes. You and your team will also be accountable for delivering on key components of the PL strategic plan including the design development, execution and management of strategies to drive client experience and balance growth in all channels, design of data and management reporting that will enable critical leadership decisions on strategic performance of the PL business against 2030 goals and thought leadership on continuing to unlock new strategies and tactics to strategically grow the PL business and market share position.

What will you do?

  • Design and execute distribution strategies to guide and support front-line teams in the right client engagement related to unsecured lending credit acquisition, servicing and related cross-sell.  This includes supporting in the simplification and understanding of credit product offerings within PL and how to best support clients in their credit journey.

  • Design, develop and implement data strategies and management reporting that will be key levers for the PL leadership team to monitor the outcome of strategies against 2030 strategic goals. Deliver insights and recommendations supported by relevant and critical data points. 

  • Contribute to road-mapping and prioritization of PL digital transformation initiatives to improve on current state via digitization 

  • Through on-going monitoring of internal and external customer and competitive research as well as internal monitoring of results of existing campaigns, digitization etc. design and develop additional strategies that will unlock growth potential for PL in support of meeting 2030 bold ambition targets.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

  • Curiosity and a passion to drive change and ideate outside of the box

  • Ability to understand and simplify complexity to create the right customer experience

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to work with data

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree

  • Strategic mindset with a bias for action

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency for critical thinking, problem solving skills, dealing with ambiguity

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytically inclined; comfortable developing business cases and completing analysis

Nice-To-Have:

  • Prior experience with designing and executing on strategies for Line of Business.

  • Prior experience managing retail credit products and / or channel management
