Alcon is looking to hire a Director, Strategic Sourcing, that is a part of Alcon’s Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Director, Strategic Sourcing (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities, building supplier relationships, and ensuring procurement aligns with business goals and

A typical day will include:

• Serve as the primary procurement interface for the Houston site, ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.
• Build and lead a high-performing procurement team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead supplier performance management, including QBRs for top suppliers based on spend and criticality.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, business continuity, and innovation.
• Lead supplier performance management, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for critical suppliers.
• Own site-level budgeting and spend variance analysis in partnership with MS&T and Procurement COE.
• Ensure contract coverage, supply and pricing agreements.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 10 Years of Relevant Experience
