JOB SUMMARY:
The Director, Strategic Projects will serve as a key strategic partner to the President of Kay & Peoples, supporting initiatives that span merchandising, planning, operations, and other critical business functions. Acting as a liaison among stakeholders, this individual will ensure alignment, gather essential information, and facilitate decision-making to advance high-impact projects. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create a life cycle product development calendar, syncing with cross functional calendars, such as Marketing and Ecommerce.
Lead and manage strategic projects across Kay & Peoples, ensuring timely execution and delivery of objectives.
Serve as a central point of coordination between the President, senior leadership, and project teams to maintain alignment and transparency.
Gather, analyze, and synthesize information from stakeholders to inform project plans, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and performance metrics to track progress and ensure accountability.
Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and updates to communicate project status and outcomes effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency across supported functions.
Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and strategies.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or business operations, ideally within retail or consumer-focused environments.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
