Job Profile Summary

This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of information technology (IT) solutions in order to meet the organization's needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Analytics related duties: Performs complex data research and analysis to support business operations, creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets, researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions, and may conduct scientific research projects with the goal of breaking new ground in data analytics.   A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. A role that directs a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or team Leaders.  Responsibilities typically include: ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the Department, problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis, and requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

Job Overview

This position will provide program leadership support across the enterprise as assigned for planning, business development, market and operational analytics, as well as performance improvement based on KPIs for major initiatives and service lines across the health system. This position functions to deliver excellent performance outcomes for strategic initiatives by providing executive program management.  This should be supported with insights from market analysis, operational analytics, alignment of growth opportunities to improve patient care services delivery across ambulatory, inpatient, post-acute and physician network settings.

This position will combine advanced analytical capability with a deep understanding of healthcare operations - including clinical workflows, financial drivers, and service delivery - to ensure that data-driven and decision science insights translate into actionable operational strategies and outcomes.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree.

2. Five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, operations, or financial/market analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field.

2. Seven (7) years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, operations, or financial/market analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

1. Leads cross-functional operational and strategic initiatives from concept through implementation through diverse leadership and management governance structures by partnering closely with executive sponsors to drive accountability and execution success.

2. Coordinates with multiple departments - clinical, operational, and administrative - to align initiatives with enterprise goals.

3. Executes on project charters, defined scope, timelines and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.

4. Ensures regulatory compliance, quality standards, and project governance are maintained throughout the life cycle.

5. Develops appropriate communication for project governance and ensures timely escalation of issues or risks to governance bodies when necessary.

6. Leads and performs comprehensive analyses of internal performance, market trends, and financial data to inform program development and implementation.  This should include demand forecasting, competitive intelligence assessment, market share review and evaluation of the physician enterprise capacity and strategic growth opportunities.

7. Develops and maintains databases and dashboard visualization on market share, operational and financial performance across the enterprise for leadership review.

8. Periodically assesses the relevance of existing strategic and operational plans, recommending updates in response to market and organizational dynamics.

9. Partners with Finance and operational leaders to develop pro formas, ROI analyses, and sensitivity models to evaluate new, existing, and expanded initiatives.

10. Validates financial and operational assumptions through collaboration with operational and program leaders.

11. Translates data into operational insights—linking metrics such as throughput, access, utilization, clinical outcomes, program growth and business outcomes.

12. Works closely to maintain timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.

13. Prepares and presents analyses, reports, and recommendations to executive leadership and governance bodies.

14. Supports the organization’s response to external requests for proposals and other strategic inquiries.

Physical Requirements:

1. Professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. 

2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending / descending stairs and operate office equipment. 

3. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate and exchange information. 

4. Ability to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 

5. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

6. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with routine on-site presence required to build effective team performance culture and collaborate with patient care delivery facing operational partners, physician leaders, and senior management. Strong understanding of the healthcare marketplace and effective stakeholder engagement are essential to success.

Pay Range:
