Your role
As Director of Strategic Marketing & Business Development, you will shape Össur’s Bracing business across Europe. Reporting to the President of Europe, you’ll define and execute the regional go-to-market strategy — including channel design, customer segmentation, pricing, and portfolio growth — to drive sustainable sales and profit.
This high-impact role translates global vision into regional strategies, strengthens brand equity, and positions Össur as the partner of choice in clinical and retail markets.
This is a highly visible, entrepreneurial position suited for a commercially astute strategist who thrives on turning insights into execution, influencing across functions, and leading change within a matrixed global organization.
This position will be based in Eindhoven office.
Your tasks:
Strategy & Growth
Develop and implement regional go-to-market plans aligned with global direction and local market needs.
Identify growth segments, channel opportunities, and portfolio investment priorities.
Analyze market and competitive trends to inform positioning and innovation.
Commercial Execution
Lead channel and customer strategies (distributors, hospitals, retail, DTC).
Define product focus, pricing, and profitability strategies to maximize growth and margin.
Partner with sales leaders to ensure executional excellence and customer engagement.
Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
Drive a high-performance culture with clear accountability for results.
Performance & Optimization
Set KPIs, dashboards, and business reviews to track progress against strategic goals.
Lead initiatives to optimize mix, pricing, and margin for profitable growth.
Oversee cross-functional projects to improve commercial effectiveness and scalability.
Cross-Functional Influence
Act as a strategic link between regional teams and global functions.
Build strong relationships with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance for aligned execution.
Who are you
Strategic, analytical leader with proven success in medical device markets.
Expertise in go-to-market strategy, business development, and commercial execution.
Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and leading change in matrix organizations.
10+ years in strategic marketing or commercial leadership; advanced degree preferred.
Strong communicator with data-driven decision-making skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
