This is a specialized credit sales role for BMO Global Asset Management.
Client Coverage & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all clients across all major credit products.
Understand each client’s investment mandates, risk appetite, regulatory considerations, and portfolio construction needs.
Deliver thoughtful, value-added market commentary, trade ideas, and relative-value analysis.
Product Sales & Trade Facilitation
Coordinate with Credit Portfolio Management team and deliver best-in-class execution for clients.
Drive primary issuance participation across structured credit, and private credit opportunities.
Support the distribution of internal Credit strategies and other products where applicable.
Market Intelligence & Advisory
Produce and deliver actionable insights on credit markets and competitive landscape.
Help to identify cross-product opportunities and relative-value trades spanning liquid and illiquid credit markets.
Monitor key regulatory, rating-agency, and accounting developments impacting client portfolios.
Business Growth & Strategy
Expand wallet share with existing accounts; identify and onboard new strategic relationships.
Collaborate with Portfolio Management team to develop bespoke solutions
Help shape product roadmaps and distribution strategies across the credit platform.
Contribute to thought leadership pieces, client events, teach-ins, and thematic market updates.
Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of experience in credit sales, structured credit sales, or institutional markets.
Proven track record covering accounts and generating revenue across credit products.
Strong familiarity with one or more key verticals: CLOs, ABS/MBS, HY/IG bonds, leveraged loans, private credit, structured solutions, or alternatives distribution.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of:
Corporate credit fundamentals
Private credit and structured-credit mechanics
Market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and capital markets
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills—able to translate complex credit concepts into clear client narratives.
Highly organized, commercial mindset, strong execution discipline.
Ability to thrive under market pressure and manage multiple client flows simultaneously.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
