About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Social Lead (Director level) to lead the development and execution of social-first strategies that drive engagement and build brands across the digital ecosystem. They will own full-year social and content roadmaps, shaping how brands show up across platforms and key cultural moments. They will build and evolve strategic frameworks that connect cultural calendars, campaign tentpoles, and always-on content—balancing proactive planning with real-time, reactive opportunities. They will also translate data, performance insights, and audience behavior into clear strategic direction, informing content systems and creative territories. This person will partner closely with creative, media, and analytics teams to develop insight-led briefs and guide execution, ensuring work is both culturally relevant and performance-driven. Additionally, they will mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a strong, collaborative team environment. They will stay ahead of trends, identifying new opportunities for brands to show up in meaningful and differentiated ways.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the go-to social thought leader in a networked brand organization, representing a future-focused social team with strong momentum across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strategically guide U.S. clients and global counterparts
  • Oversee social and digital briefs to increase brand relevance, ensuring continuity from concept to content
  • Partner with client leadership to integrate social strategies into broader marketing initiatives
  • Oversee the development, integration, and deployment of social content aligned with the strategic vision
  • Collaborate closely with creative leads to ensure high-quality, integrated creative work
  • Integrate social with other disciplines: PR, Brand Strategy, Customer Engagement, Data & Analytics, and Media
  • Innovate and implement key strategic social frameworks
  • Manage and develop senior social strategy team members
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner for major accounts
  • Partner with Account leads to strategically guide the business
  • Contribute to a global thought leadership network
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key clients

What You’ll Need

  • 8–12 years of social-first experience across content, creator, and community
  • Experience managing teams of strategists and cross-disciplinary teams, leading with empathy and a focus on team success
  • B2B and CPG experience (preferred)
  • Expertise in brand and communications planning
  • Proven success collaborating with creative leaders
  • Demonstrated thought leadership
  • Strong digital acumen, with the ability to collaborate with experts across programmatic, social, CRM, production, and content strategy
  • Eagerness to learn, explore, and reinvent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for persuasive presentations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret research and media reports to inform social strategies
  • An eye for award-winning opportunities that deliver on client business objectives

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $100,000$230,000 USD
