Position Summary

Leads Sever Institute operations including enrollment management (marketing, recruiting, and enrollment), academic operations (program delivery, student services), administration (financial management, administrative processes), and facilitates collaboration among the Sever Institute. Primary point of contact to McKelvey Graduate Student Services and Academic Operations. In conjunction with academic Program Directors, manages Sever Institute Adjunct Faculty hiring and onboarding and assists Adjunct Faculty with course development and teaching proficiency. Conducts new program development ideation, planning, and implementation. Works with Program Directors to ensure ongoing relevance of current programs, curricula, and courses. Manages the Sever Institute quality assurance office. As the unit quality assurance manager, instills a mindset of continuous improvement, oversees unit QA processes including enrollment management, program quality, new program development, and administration, and formulates and reports on key performance metrics. Assists the Executive Director in strategic matters. This includes developing, implementing, and managing implementation plans to achieve Sever Institute strategic goals and, as appropriate and as needed, participating in business development initiatives and activities.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages Sever Institute academic operations. Ensures consistency and quality in program delivery and a robust student experience. Supervises the Sever Institute Director of Academic and Student Services function. Develops plans, policies, and initiatives to achieve academic operational goals. Coordinates Sever Institute for-credit to ensure consistency and integration across program portfolios and alignment with Sever Institute strategic goals and objectives. Primary point of contact to McKelvey Graduate Student Services and Academic Operations for all matters pertaining to admissions, student conduct, Student Sunrise.

  • Supervises the Sever Institute enrollment management function. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the enrollment management staff to ensure the Sever Institute enrollment management strategy is implemented and achieved and individual marketing and recruiting plans goals and objectives are met. Ensures the coordination and integration of enrollment management, marketing, recruiting, and alumni engagement plans and objectives across Sever Institute.

  • Conducts new program development ideation, planning, and implementation. Works with Program Directors to ensure relevance of current programs. Organizes market studies, conducts curriculum development workshops, prepares implementation roadmaps, and oversees course development and porting of course material into Canvas in accordance with Sever Canvas LMS standards.

  • Manages Sever Institute Adjunct Faculty hiring and assists 70+ Adjunct Faculty with course development and teaching proficiency. Liaisons with McKelvey HR to ensure smooth onboarding. Administers the Sever Adjunct Academy for new faculty hires.

  • Serves as the Sever Institute Quality Assurance officer. In coordination with process owners, drives the continual improvement of core Sever Institute process strategic through process implementation, standardization, management, measurement, and assessment. Analyzes, interprets, and reports on process data and metrics. Works closely with process owners to seek out and evaluate improvement opportunities and formulate and direct the implementation of solutions, projects, and initiatives that lead to better, faster, and less expensive Sever Institute processes.

  • Assists the Executive Director with formulation of strategy, unit-related ideation and problem-solving, and as appropriate and as needed, business development which could include BD planning, meeting with industry representatives, and external relationship building. Undertakes and completes other projects as assigned by the Executive Director.

Salary Range

$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
