The Clover Care Services organization delivers proactive support and care to our members through our Clover Home Care teams, and quality improvement services to our aligned insurance plan providers through our Practice Engagement team. We have built one of the most proactive, data-driven health care services platforms in New Jersey and are excited about the future of technology and how it impacts our ability to bring transformative results to both patients and providers.
We are seeking a Director to lead our Clover Care Services operations in Southern New Jersey. This is a newly created role responsible for growing and managing our regional provider partnerships, driving Clover Assistant PCP coverage, and ensuring operational excellence across the region. You will be instrumental in deepening Clover’s presence in New Jersey and shaping the future of value-based care in the region.
As the Director of Provider Development, you will:
- Drive growth of Clover Assistant-aligned PCPs across Southern New Jersey by identifying, onboarding, and enabling high-quality primary care partners.
- Build and execute a regional strategy to expand our MSO footprint, working closely with executive leadership, legal, and finance to structure and close strategic agreements.
- Own provider relationships end-to-end—from initial engagement to long-term performance management—ensuring satisfaction, retention, and shared success.
- Represent Clover in the market by regularly meeting with physicians, practice leaders, and healthcare stakeholders to build trust and deepen partnerships.
- Lead a local team focused on provider enablement and performance, ensuring providers are fully equipped to succeed in our model and delivering high-quality care to Clover members.
- Monitor regional performance metrics and use data to guide strategic and tactical decisions to increase Clover Assistant PCP coverage and improve clinical outcomes.
- Serve as the voice of the Southern New Jersey market, bringing insights and feedback from providers and practices back to internal stakeholders across product, operations, and leadership teams.
Success in this role looks like:
- In the first 90 days: You have laid the foundation for building strong relationships with key regional provider partners, market leaders, and cross-functional colleagues. You’ve gained a clear understanding of Southern New Jersey market dynamics, assessed the strengths and opportunities within your region’s provider engagement and growth efforts, and aligned your team around clear priorities.
- In the first 6 months: You have implemented a cohesive, metrics-driven plan for provider growth and performance in Southern New Jersey. You’ve established clear processes and accountabilities within your team, strengthened operational rhythm with cross-functional partners, and begun to see measurable improvements in provider activation, satisfaction, and performance. You are actively cultivating new partnership opportunities and have expanded several high-value relationships in the region.
- In the future: Your leadership and regional strategy have driven meaningful provider network growth, improved performance outcomes, and strengthened Clover’s reputation among Southern New Jersey physician groups. You have built a scalable, repeatable playbook for regional expansion, and your market is recognized as a high-performing engine of growth within Clover’s value-based care model.
You should get in touch if:
- You have extensive provider-facing experience in Southern New Jersey, with strong healthcare relationships and an understanding of the regional market landscape.
- You bring at least 10 years of healthcare leadership experience, with a background in value-based care, network development, or MSO operations.
- You have a proven track record of building partnerships, driving adoption of clinical technologies, and scaling provider engagement strategies.
- You’ve led and developed high-performing teams and know how to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day execution.
- You’re passionate about improving healthcare delivery and excited by the opportunity to transform care for Medicare patients in New Jersey.
- You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are energized by the challenge of building something new.
