What You Will Do
Strategic Portfolio Leadership - Lead the end-to-end execution of a large and complex program portfolio ($500M+), ensuring disciplined planning, forecasting, risk management, and delivery against cost, schedule, and performance commitments
Execution Excellence & Predictability - Drive baseline integrity and execution discipline across programs, improving predictability through robust processes, credible forecasting, and effective change control
People Leadership & Development - Lead and develop a high performing team of program managers, setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and building leadership bench strength
Customer & Stakeholder Influence - Communicate and influence effectively across complex customer relationships and internal organizational landscapes, serving as a reliable point of escalation and trusted partner to customers
Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Drive continuous improvement, identifying gaps and inefficiencies, and implementing scalable processes, tools, and ways of working that enhance execution quality and organizational capability
Expected travel will be 10-20%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Previous Experience managing large program portfolios and leading program managers
Exceptional influence, communication, and leadership skills to work across internal and external stakeholders
Prior experience managing people
Extensive Earned Value Management experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in aerospace, defense, or mission critical systems
Experience briefing senior leadership (SBU and BU President Level) and external customers

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
