Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America is hiring a senior engineering leader to build the next generation of AI-powered capabilities for our cloud audit solutions. You will lead a dedicated innovation team creating intelligent, automation-ready components that materially improve the speed, quality, and consistency of audit work for thousands of professionals.
This role is ideal for a director who has delivered complex, cloud-native systems at scale and wants to own a high-visibility charter applying modern AI to real customer workflows.
What You’ll Lead
A focused engineering team responsible for developing:
· AI-driven reasoning capabilities used throughout audit workflows
· Document understanding and structured-data extraction systems
· Dynamic workflow automation that accelerates auditor decision-making
· Iterative prototypes validated directly with design-partner firms
· Secure, scalable services and APIs integrated into our cloud audit suite
This team operates with a rapid-iteration model centered on customer validation and disciplined 0→1 execution.
How You’ll Work
You will collaborate closely with product leaders, designers, audit domain experts, cloud platform teams, and select firms to:
· Identify high-value AI opportunities in the audit workflow
· Build and test prototypes that demonstrate measurable customer benefit
· Scale validated capabilities into production-grade cloud services
· Establish engineering patterns for AI-first development across the portfolio
· Ensure high standards for quality, security, and operational excellence

Qualifications
Required
· 10+ years software development; 8+ years in senior engineering leadership
· Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud systems
· Expertise in .NET/C#, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems
· Hands-on technical capability (AI-assisted development)
· Track record shipping 0→1 products with rapid iteration cycles
· Experience with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, agents, or NLP
· Ability to lead multi-team efforts in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
Preferred
· Background in accounting, fintech, audit, or workflow systems
· Experience leading innovation/incubation teams
· Familiarity with financial compliance or assurance processes
Location Requirement
This role requires extended onsite colocation in Dallas to support high-velocity decision-making, rapid prototyping, and close collaboration. Candidates must either:
· Relocate to Dallas, or
· Commit to extensive multi-week onsite travel aligned to team operating rhythms.

Compensation:
150,500.00 - 268,900.00 USDThis role eligible for Bonus and Stock.
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
