About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic, consumer-obsessed Director of Product Portfolio Strategy to lead the development, optimization, and performance of our physical product assortment. This highly cross functional role will own the strategy behind our assortment and how each product contributes to our broader ecosystem.
You will drive the long-term hardware and accessories roadmap, guide SKU architecture, and ensure our assortment meets customer needs while delivering on financial goals. This is a highly cross-functional role that shapes the customer experience and drives business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Portfolio and Roadmap: Own the long term hardware roadmap, including core product, accessories and SKU expansion, balancing feasibility and commercial opportunities
- SKU & Bundling Strategy: Lead SKU management, rationalization, and lifecycle planning. Define and optimize product bundles and packaging across retail, e-commerce, and DTC channels.
- Ecosystem Planning: Ensure new products seamlessly integrate with existing offerings, enhancing customer experience and reducing friction
- New Product Introduction: Drive cross functional coordination with product launches, aligning Engineering, Marketing and Supply Chain teams.
- Commercial & Operation Performance: Partner with Finance to manage COGs, margins and P&L. Monitor inventory health, sell-through, and category performance.
- Consumer & Market Insights: Leverage customer research, competitive analysis, and market trends to inform product decisions, identify white space opportunities, and shape Nanit’s future physical product assortment.
- Cross Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations and Creative Teams to ensure consistent product messaging, positioning and execution
Who You Are:
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, with prior ownership of a hardware or physical product portfolio in consumer electronics or IoT companies
- Deep understanding of hardware development cycles, manufacturing constraints, and COGS optimization.
- Proven experience in defining product bundling, accessory, and ecosystem strategies across multiple channels.
- Strong leadership and program management skills, with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, able to align stakeholders and drive financially sound portfolio decisions.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence, capable of influencing leadership and collaborating across teams.

EEO, Salary and Location:
This is a hybrid role that will require prospective candidates to be in our NYC 3 days per week. We will consider highly qualified remote candidates.
Salary Range: $235,000 - $250,000 base salary + plus equity and benefits. The base pay is one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
