The Senior MuleSoft Product Owner serves as the strategic leader for technology teams delivering integration solutions that enable critical business capabilities across a major function, department, or value stream. This role drives the vision and execution of MuleSoft-based products and services, ensuring they deliver measurable business value and align with enterprise objectives.With a strong customer-centric mindset, you will collaborate with senior business stakeholders to define and maintain a product roadmap that advances organizational goals and maximizes value creation. You will champion API-led connectivity principles, guide integration strategies, and ensure seamless interoperability across systems.This role requires deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led architecture, and agile product management, combined with strong leadership and communication skills to influence at all levels.

What you will do

  • Lead the growth and scaling of the Webster Bank integration platform - MuleSoft
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and management to establish a clear product vision and strategic roadmap, ensuring the development team understands the product's purpose and goals
  • Customer Centricity and understanding customer needs – as the representative (Voice) of the customer, continually leverage market research and trends to be able to provide best customer value.
  • Translate high-level strategic goals and features into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that the development team can clearly understand and implement
  • Own, build, refine, and prioritize the product backlog (a dynamic "to-do" list of features, enhancements, and fixes) based on business value, urgency, and customer needs
  • Represent the end user to explain/clarify the requirements to the scrum team and provide feedback on the stories developed
  • Lead the planning and delivery of major initiatives
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Make prioritization calls with a goal of ensuring the team remains focused on highest value add activities
  • Define the goals of Sprints and Releases in coordination with the Scrum Master and Release Manager
  • Define clear work goals in line with business goals and establish departmental priorities and expectations.
  • Assure IT performance metrics are achieved for the reliability and stability of key platforms and systems.
  • Identify and initiate work process and tool improvements that lead to increased productivity.
  • Liaise with senior management and provide reports/updates related to department performance as requested.


Skills and Abilities

  • IT Product Owner background
  • Able to build successful relationships with all levels of staff and management
  • Experience in product management lifecycle
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Ability to work with large teams and a variety of people, including users, product development team members and management team members
  • Always available to the Scrum Team eliminating sprint delays
  • Subject matter expertise in MuleSoft a plus


Education Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of complex software development experience, 5 of which were in a supervisory capacity required
  • 3-4 years experience managing teams supporting their assigned business domain required


Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $163,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
