Director, Product Marketing

Detroit, MI Full time

As Director, Product Marketing, you will lead strategic initiatives focused on re-engaging and retaining our most valuable customers—driving customer lifecycle strategy and maximizing lifetime value across refinance, purchase, and home equity products. You'll own end-to-end product marketing strategy for recapture audiences, from market positioning and product roadmap influence to integrated go-to-market execution and measurable business impact. This is a high-visibility leadership role where your strategic vision shapes how we win back and deepen relationships with existing customers, influence cross-functional teams, and scale impact through key partnerships. You'll have autonomy to innovate, lead with data-driven insights, and deliver results that matter—positioning you as a key architect of our customer retention and recapture strategy.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with business objectives, market conditions, and customer needs across refinance, purchase, and home equity portfolios, with a primary focus on recapture and retention of existing customers.

  • Partner with Segments to target priority recapture cohorts including previous customers, high-net-worth clients, and customers at equity milestones, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize relevance and conversion.

  • Define product positioning, value propositions, and "Why Us?" messaging informed by customer insights, competitive dynamics, and macro trends that differentiate our market presence and re-engagement strategy.

  • Identify and champion marketable features that solve client needs and create competitive differentiation across customer segments and product lines to drive recapture campaigns.

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, enhancements, and retention initiatives with cross-functional alignment and accountability for outcomes in recapture portfolios.

  • Act as the internal client for Creative, delivering clear strategic briefs that translate complex financial products into human-centric stories and orchestrating Segments, Creative, Direct, and Digital Channel teams for cohesive lifecycle execution targeting recapture audiences.

  • Own product-level KPIs including conversion, volume, and creative response rates, using advanced analytics to monitor funnel health, diagnose leakage points, and identify optimization opportunities that drive revenue growth from recapture initiatives.
