We’re looking for a Product Marketing Director to lead the product/lifecycle marketing strategy for Assurant’s Global Auto portfolio. The role drives compelling positioning, messaging, and design that best suit the audience(s) and achieve business objectives, while delivering accurate product information. As Product Marketing Director for Auto, you’ll guide cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Sales, Product, Operations, Technology, and Experience teams. With deep expertise in consumer marketing, digital experiences, and data‑driven decision‑making, the Director oversees prioritization and execution of key initiatives with significant autonomy.

What you’ll do(key responsibilities) 

Product Positioning & Insight Development

  • Define and evolve product value propositions, positioning, and messaging for key audiences—including consumers, vehicle and equipment dealers, and other partners who sell our products.

  • Leverage customer insights, performance data, market trends, and competitive analysis to shape messaging and support growth objectives.

  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Research, CX, Analytics, and other stakeholders to gather inputs and translate them into clear, compelling narratives.

Go‑to‑Market Strategy & Enablement

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches and enhancements.

  • Build and maintain sales and marketing enablement materials such as presentations, one‑pagers, videos, and collateral.

  • Support affinity and strategic partner brands with product marketing strategy, guidance, and deliverables.

  • Ensure all materials meet brand standards while identifying and communicating unique requirements within the Auto and Commercial Equipment lines.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales and Product teams to develop materials that improve product understanding, adoption, and conversion across both consumer and dealer channels.

  • Lead multi‑workstream initiatives spanning Marketing, Creative Services, Product, Operations, and Technology.

  • Provide strategic direction to Creative Services at project kickoff and ensure work is prioritized, on brief, and delivered on time.

  • Manage legal and compliance review cycles for all marketing deliverables.

  • Represent Marketing in national client implementations, supporting collateral needs, review processes, and client communication.

What are the requirements needed for this position?  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive product marketing experience, ideally supporting complex product portfolios or multi‑channel environments.

  • Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional initiatives with minimal oversight, driving clarity and execution across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Experience developing marketing materials across a wide range of channels, platforms, and formats (digital, print, sales enablement, training, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and storytelling capabilities, with a track record of leveraging data to guide decisions and successfully manage major product launches.

  • Highly proficient working in a Windows-based environment and using Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

  • Experience with Monday.com (project management), Bynder or similar digital asset management platforms, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  • Strong data‑driven decision‑making, with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations and executive‑ready narratives.

  • Demonstrated ability to set direction, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of independent ownership, proactive problem‑solving, and accountable leadership.

  • Experience improving cross-functional marketing processes to increase speed, quality, and scalability using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).

  • Familiarity with managing end-to-end marketing content production across print/digital channels, including translation for global or multilingual audiences.

  • Ability to thoughtfully integrate AI tools into marketing operations to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

  • Familiarity with collaboration and CRM tools such as Figma, Miro, and Salesforce.

  • Experience in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, automotive, or F&I).

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

What to expect for travel

  • Up to 10% of annual travel.

Pay Range:

$103,800.00 - $173,300.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
