As a GE Appliances’ Air & Water Solutions’ Director, Product Management – Residential Air Products, you will play a key leadership role within the Residential Microenterprise, with strategic oversight of the residential HVAC solutions portfolio and direct responsibility for the strategy and execution of the Ductless HVAC product portfolio, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and market performance. This role leads the development and execution of the 1–2 year product roadmap, aligning innovation, lifecycle management, and channel strategy with overall business objectives. You will drive cross-functional execution across engineering, sourcing, quality, sales, marketing, supply chain, and international partners to deliver successful new product introductions, optimize the portfolio, and maintain a strong competitive position in the market.
In partnership with commercial and functional leaders, you will shape market segmentation, pricing strategy, product positioning, and investment priorities, ensuring product decisions translate into measurable business impact. Success in this role requires disciplined product lifecycle governance, strong operational leadership, and the ability to influence key business decisions through data-driven insights and clear executive communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Own and execute the multi-year product roadmap for the Ductless HVAC portfolio, aligning product investments to business growth and profitability objectives.
- Establish operating plans that translate business strategy into actionable product initiatives with measurable revenue, margin, and share outcomes.
- Lead portfolio decisions including product introduction, rationalization, pricing strategy, and lifecycle management to optimize financial performance.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities based on market analysis, competitive dynamics, and customer insights.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Oversee and develop other product managers within the Residential Microenterprise, offering mentorship, fostering technical and business acumen, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop product management resources supporting the Ductless portfolio, providing coaching, performance direction, and strategic alignment.
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, sourcing, quality, sales, marketing, supply chain, and international partners to deliver product and financial commitments.
- Influence business decisions by providing data-driven recommendations on segmentation, channel strategy, and product positioning.
- Ensure strong collaboration with Commercial, Sales, and Operations leadership to align demand planning, inventory strategy, and product transitions.
Product Development & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept development through commercialization and sustainment.
- Direct new product introduction (NPI) efforts, ensuring product specifications, compliance requirements, and agency certifications are achieved on time and within financial targets.
- Champion continuous product improvement initiatives, driving cost optimization, quality enhancements, and feature innovation.
- Utilize technical and market data analytics to inform product enhancements and portfolio decisions.
Market & Customer Leadership
- Lead voice-of-customer integration into product planning and development.
- Partner with Sales to strengthen channel engagement, training effectiveness, and product value communication.
- Guide development of technical and sales enablement materials to support market success.

- Product Development & Lifecycle Governance: Oversees end-to-end lifecycle management, directing NPI execution, regulatory compliance, agency approvals, and launch readiness.
- Market & Customer Leadership: Integrates voice-of-customer, wholesale distribution knowledge, and market intelligence into product planning and value proposition development.
- Talent Leadership & Performance Enablement: Leads and develops product management professionals (as applicable), fostering accountability, strategic thinking, and high performance.
- Operational Planning & Execution Management: Develops and manages short- to mid-term operational plans, monitoring performance metrics to ensure delivery of financial and strategic targets.
- Communication & Executive Presence: Communicates complex technical and commercial strategies clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, demonstrating strong executive presence.
- Technical & Systems Proficiency: Utilizes product lifecycle management tools, financial systems, and data analytics platforms to support portfolio decisions and applies HVAC technical knowledge to ensure specification and compliance alignment.
Educational and Experiential Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, product management, or related field.
- 10 years’ experience working in the HVAC or related industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Advanced education or training in product management or HVAC field
- Direct experience working with ductless air products
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
- Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
- ~20% ongoing travel, domestic and international.
