Director, Product Management 

Job Summary

As Director of Product, you will define and drive the product strategy for OpenEye’s intelligent video security platform, empowering organizations globally with trusted, proactive intelligence that transforms how they operate and protects what matters most. You will translate market opportunity, customer insight, and competitive intelligence into a clear roadmap that delivers differentiated value in a rapidly evolving VSaaS and intelligent video market.

You will lead and develop a team of Product Managers, elevating product rigor, discovery discipline, and strategic thinking across the organization. Your leadership will ensure that we are not simply shipping features, but solving meaningful customer problems that drive measurable business outcomes.

This role requires a seasoned product leader who has owned revenue-impacting product portfolios, led cross-functional execution at scale, and influenced executive direction through data, insight, and strategic clarity. You will balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery, ensuring OpenEye remains competitive in an increasingly AI-driven and cloud-first security landscape.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Align product vision and strategy for your portfolio, with company objectives and market opportunity
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Product Managers, strengthening discovery practices, outcome-based planning, and product craft
  • Drive rigorous product discovery through customer engagement, market analysis, usability insight, and data-driven experimentation
  • Evolve product strategy and roadmap, ensuring prioritization decisions are grounded in customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Translate market requirements into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics
  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, and Quality to ensure high-quality execution and on-time delivery of roadmap commitments
  • Establish measurable KPIs and accountability frameworks to track adoption, retention, revenue contribution, and customer satisfaction
  • Influence go-to-market strategy in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader, aligning stakeholders around priorities and communicating strategy effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Drive how AI, and other emerging technologies, evolve within the OWS platform and across the Product Organization
  • Ensure continuous improvement in product management processes, tooling, and organizational effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8–10+ years of experience in product management, including demonstrated leadership of Product Managers
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering successful SaaS or cloud-based product portfolios
  • Experience defining product strategy and roadmaps tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using data to inform product decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex software initiatives from discovery through launch
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate product vision and tradeoffs clearly
  • Experience mentoring and developing product talent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in video surveillance, VSaaS, physical security, IoT, or adjacent technical domains
  • Experience building or scaling AI-enabled or data-driven products
  • Demonstrated success operating in competitive, fast-evolving markets
  • Experience working in hybrid hardware/software environments
  • Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, dual-track discovery)
  • MBA or advanced technical degree

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience.  This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role.  The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
