The Corporate Finance Systems team is the architectural backbone of Yahoo’s global financial health. We design, build, and optimize the "Single Source of Truth" that powers a multi-billion dollar organization. Our team bridges the gap between complex global financial standards and cutting-edge enterprise engineering to transform financial operations into a highly automated, scalable competitive advantage.
As the Director of Product Management for Corporate Financial Systems, you are the primary architect of the platform ensuring our global financial integrity. This is a high-leverage Individual Contributor role for a seasoned leader who thrives on system complexity, data-driven strategy, and hands-on technical ownership.
You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our global financial ecosystem from our ERP core to the specialized engines that handle revenue recognition, treasury, and tax. You won't just be managing a backlog; you will be designing the "Single Source of Truth" for a multi-billion dollar organization. Your goal is to transform financial operations from a series of manual processes into a streamlined, automated, and highly scalable competitive advantage.
The "Architect" Mindset: You excel at decoding "how the watch is built," identifying points of failure in complex data models or system integrations.
AI-Native Problem Solver: You view AI as a primary lever for efficiency, proactively identifying workflows where LLMs can automate repetitive financial validation or anomaly detection.
Independence & Influence: A self-starter capable of navigating a global organization and driving functional strategy with minimal oversight.
Bilingual Communicator: Fluent in both "Finance" (GAAP/SOX) and "Engineering" (APIs/Data Schemas), ensuring seamless technical translation across the CFO’s organization.
Functional Strategy: Own the long-term roadmap for Yahoo’s global financial tech stack, developing a modular, scalable architecture that anticipates business growth and regulatory shifts.
System Transformation: Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new financial technologies (ERP, Billing, Tax, etc.) to replace legacy technical debt.
Technical Excellence: Partner directly with Engineering to define API integrations, and system logic that ensure 100% data integrity.
Intelligent Automation: Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in manual reconciliations, replacing repetitive audit tasks with automated, self-healing workflows.
Cross-Functional Influence: Work across the organization to ensure upstream product launches flow correctly into downstream financial systems without breaking the ledger.
Financial Integrity & AI Governance: Ensure all product builds meet rigorous SOX compliance and GAAP/IFRS standards, implementing AI-driven diagnostics to proactively detect financial anomalies.
Strategic Optimization: Stay current on emerging AI tools for Enterprise Engineering, suggest improvements to the financial close process, and exercise judgment in balancing AI-generated insights with manual validation.
